What is VET at UNDA?
The University of Notre Dame Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and offers a number of Vocational Education and Training courses (VET) at its Broome, Fremantle and Sydney Campus’s including Education and Nursing. Vocational Education Training (VET) at Notre Dame is dedicated to providing exceptional outcomes to students and industry partners. We aim to be the conduit to Higher Education by providing the platform to help all students succeed in education and work, to make a career change or as a pathway into higher education through the UNDA registered Training Organisation (RTO).    

Key Responsibilities 
•Develop, implement and maintain governance systems, tools and processes related to the management of risk, audit, legislative and regulatory compliance, and business continuity to embed a positive compliance and governance culture within the UNDA RTO and organization.
•Lead the coordination and departmental responses to VET’s Internal and External Audit activity and maintain tracking and reporting to ensure achievement of management actions to agreed delivery dates.
•Lead UNDA participation and reporting for VET Risk Management processes and provide high level advice and support to UNDA VET Leaders and Senior Managers on risk management practices, ensuring the approach to Risk Management aligns with UNDA policies, procedures and framework.
•Attend and present at committee meetings within and on behalf of the VET department.
•Identify and analyse UNDA practices to ensure compliance with all business, statutory, legislative and regulatory obligations.
•Develop, submit and track papers, memos and reports and oversee compliance data on reporting systems.
•Develop, implement, and facilitate communication and awareness programs and training on governance, risk and compliance practices for UNDA to achieve ideal business outcomes.
•Provide expert advice and guidance on contracts compliance requirements and regulatory and statutory compliance including ASQA standards, VET Quality Framework, TEQSA, CRICOS and other industry regulators to ensure contract optimisation and compliance with regulatory standards.   

ABOUT YOU 
•Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or extensive relevant experience and management expertise, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
•Demonstrated experience in the RTO education sector.
•Demonstrated expert knowledge and understanding of the Australian Skills Quality Authority, training packaging requirements and experience with government funded programs and with governance, risk and compliance frameworks and their application in a complex organisation.
•Demonstrated knowledge of State and Federal Training funding.
•An understanding of qualitive and quantitative risk methodologies to assess and manage risk.
•Experience in coordinating compliance audits and anticipating and mitigating emerging issues.
