About the office

The National Marketing Office deliver high quality, insight-driven and evidence-based marketing strategies and initiatives to support the University’s mission and objectives. The office collaborates with the Faculties, Schools and all Offices and Departments across the University to build and strengthen the University’s brand and reputation.
 
About the role

The Graphic Designer role plays a critical role in the development of innovative branding designs. The role is responsible for developing impactful and compelling branding through creative leadership and vibrant visual identity, driving design concepts to marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the conception, development and execution of expertly crafted design solutions.
  • Design and develop all communications across all digital platforms.
  • Creatively communicate the business strategy and vision through innovative designs and the use of typography, layout and animation.
  • Working with the Design Manager develop print & digital assets for marketing materials including websites, advertising, animation, emails, social media, and interactive displays.
  • Roll out high quality creative assets (static or motion) across display banners, EDM and social.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of brand and creative across print & digital touch points including, social, video, web and campaign landing pages design.
  • Utilise data and analytics to drive creative decisions.
  • Keep up to date with industry knowledge on best practice, design trends and influences.
  • Other responsibilities, commensurate with the expectations of a role at this level, which contribute to the overall objectives of the Marketing Office.
  • Comply with policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Degree qualifications with relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Commensurate experience in digital design, content development and production.
  • Experience in designing and executing interactive experiences that drive customer-focused outcomes across key channels
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies with a passion for using technology to improve work efficiency
  • Experience with traditional and digital content creation, motion design/animation to create gifs + video animations
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Xd, inDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop etc)
  • Strong time, scheduling, and project management experience dealing with multiple priorities
  • Sound experience working to brief, from concept to execution across multiple digital mediums; such as, web, social media, and EDM design
  • Commercial understanding of the value compelling creative design adds to campaign outcomes
  • Stakeholder management experience including the ability to confidently present creative ideas and concepts
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and deliver clear creative responses to briefs
  • Proven organisational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and multiple priorities to meeting competing deadlines and deliver high quality outcomes
