Position Title: Mid Level Site Reliability Engineer

 

Location: Remote - LATAM
What you will be doing:
This person will be part of a team that is responsible for the end-to-end planning, building, and deploying of our infrastructure and cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, a solid understanding of applicable web application systems, and a natural curiosity for producing effective solutions. This person is patient, has excellent time-management skills, with flexible work hours and an effective communication style.
  • Planning, maintaining and monitoring of the cloud infrastructure, with an emphasis on our Azure accounts
  • Build, release, monitor, and manage the configuration of all production systems
  • Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies
  • Work alongside software architecture and engineering teams to design and implement any scalable software services
  • Ensure necessary system security by using best-in-class cloud security solutions
  • Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company
  • Achieve a specific level of reliability and availability for the system, and measure and optimize system performance
  • Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary
  • Recommend process and architecture improvements
  • Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platforms and application domains

 

Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in IS/IT/Computer Science or a related field and 2+ years of experience; or 4+ years of experience 
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification or equivalent Azure real-world experience
  • Experience designing and building web environments on Azure, which includes working with Azure services.
  • Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications
  • A solid background in Linux/Unix and Windows server system administration
  • Experience using Development tools in a cloud environment, such as GitHub, AWS DevOps, Kubernetes, Gitlab, etc
  • Experience installing and configuring different application servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, and IIS .NET
  • Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, New Relic, and Prometheus
  • An understanding of writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Knowledge of one or more of the most-used programming languages available for today’s cloud computing (i.e. SQL data, Python, PHP, Java, etc)
  • Experience with other major cloud computing platforms, such as Google Cloud and AWS
  • Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems
  • Proficiency in script development and scripting languages.
