Currently, we are seeking a Mid+ BI Analyst, Reporting and Analytics Support with a strong English level to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:
Position Title: Mid+ Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Guatemala City, Guatemala, in office
What you will be doing:
- Support the Business Intelligence function that reports to internal stakeholder, with the role focused on BI reporting delivery and analytics support
- Maintain and improve existing reporting and dashboards, and after ramping up, expand into building new dashboards and reporting outputs over time
- Translate operational activity into reporting for two audiences, executive leadership reporting for owners and C suite, and tactical, detail oriented reporting for terminal managers and operational leadership
- Troubleshoot reporting issues, validate data accuracy, and help keep reporting outputs consistent and reliable
- Support quality assurance of imported or upstream data, and partner with Systems and IT stakeholders to ensure reporting remains aligned with how operational data is flowing through the systems
- Contribute to building stronger internal processes for BI work, including request intake, basic change control, prioritization, and guardrails, for example using forms to request new reports or changes to existing reports
- Work within a Microsoft focused environment, with SQL, Power BI, and Excel as core tools, and support production reporting patterns that include SSRS and SSMS
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders on production changes, where work may be developed locally and then routed through a structured path into production, including updates to stored procedures
- Support the type of business outcomes reflected in the original role request, including departmental dashboards, analytics for leadership decision making, profitability analysis support, identifying data automation opportunities, and partnering with other teams to build tools that solve operational problems
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting
- Strong reporting mindset, able to translate business questions into dashboards, reporting outputs, and clear metrics
- SQL experience for pulling and validating data, comfortable working with business logic inside queries and stored procedures at a practical level
- Strong Power BI experience building, maintaining, and improving dashboards
- Strong Excel skills for analysis, validation, and reporting workflows
- High curiosity and strong attention to detail, this was emphasized as a key success trait
- Strong communication skills, able to ask the right questions and align on the real purpose behind a reporting request
- Familiarity with source control and structured promotion into production, or experience working with an owner approver workflow for production changes
- Experience helping define or improve BI request intake and change management processes, including forms, guardrails, and prioritization
- Experience with SSRS, SSMS, and working in environments where production reporting follows stricter controls than local or ad hoc work (PLUS)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Flow or Power Automate concepts, positioned as future improvement opportunities rather than a day one requirement (PLUS)
- Experience in the Operations or Logistics Industry (PLUS)
