Position Title: Mid Backend Engineer
Location: Remote
What you will be doing:
The main goal of this role is to contribute to backend development for fintech solutions, focusing on automating accounts payable and improving payment processes. You will help design, build, and test new features, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers to enhance user experiences and deliver reliable features to a large customer base. You will work on integrating third-party APIs using REST and Postman, and use AWS services like EC2, EB, RDS, and S3 to deploy and maintain backend systems. You will also assist in resolving database performance issues in Postgres and contribute to transitioning systems toward a microservices architecture.
- Develop and maintain backend features using Django, ensuring quality and scalability.
- Integrate with third-party services via REST, using tools like Postman.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver an optimal user experience.
- Deploy and support backend systems using AWS services such as EC2, EB, RDS, and S3.
- Assist in diagnosing and improving Postgres database performance.
- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews.
- Support the migration of modules into microservices environments.
- Participate in debugging and fixing issues to maintain product reliability..
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of professional experience in backend web application development using Python and Django.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs using REST and Postman.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, and S3.
- Basic understanding of database optimization in Postgres.
- Knowledge of microservices concepts.
- Familiarity with Docker and basic CI/CD processes.
- Ability to work with application logs, metrics, and error tracking tools.
- Good collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
