Position Title:  Junior Data Systems Analyst

 

Location: Remote - LATAM

 

What you will be doing:
The Junior Data Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization’s critical business decisions through accurate, organized, and accessible data management. Working closely with Sales, Pricing, and Software Development teams, the role focuses on maintaining and enhancing data pipelines, ensuring the integrity of reporting layers across platforms such as BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Google Sheets, and delivering insightful dashboards and reports. The role requires hands-on work with systems integration, automation of workflows, and error monitoring, including basic interaction with APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger. With exposure to project management and data input tools like Trello and Smartsheet, the position plays a collaborative part in streamlining operations in the transportation and logistics sector. Curiosity, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset are essential, as the analyst contributes to operational efficiency and key business insights within a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
  • Maintain and update existing data pipelines between ArcherTMS and Google BigQuery, ensuring timely and accurate data flow to support business reporting and analysis.
  • Integrate external workflow enhancement tools, such as Hubtek Tabi, to improve operational efficiency and customer visibility.
  • Ensure data organization, logic, and reporting accuracy across BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Google Sheets, supporting reliable and actionable information for stakeholders.
  • Perform and monitor reconciliation between ArcherTMS, BigQuery, and QuickBooks to uphold the consistency and integrity of business data.
  • Develop and maintain clear, accurate reports and dashboards in Google Sheets and Looker Studio, supporting Operations, Finance, and Customer Service teams with scheduled and ad-hoc business insights.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to analyze business performance, provide data-driven recommendations, and assist in high-priority decision-making tasks.
  • Work alongside the Software Development team to assist in enhancing the Go-based sync application, applying basic programming knowledge and documenting technical requirements as needed.
  • Design and implement processes to automate data validation, detect errors, and minimize manual interventions to uphold report accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in transforming one-time or ad-hoc data requests into scalable, reusable reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • Support cross-functional needs by communicating effectively with teams in Operations, Finance, Sales, and Software Development regarding business data requirements and deliverables.
  • Train team members on accessing reports and dashboards independently, and troubleshoot initial-level data or reporting issues as they arise.
  • Utilize project management and data input tools, such as Trello and Smartsheet, to track responsibilities and support workflow organization.
  • Test API integrations and monitor API connections using tools like Postman or Swagger to ensure smooth and error-free data transfers.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • 2 years of professional experience with SQL, preferably Google BigQuery, for maintaining, improving, and reconciling data pipelines and ensuring data integrity
  • Experience in the logistics and transportation industry, along with a strong understanding of the data it generates, is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Sheets for data organization and reporting
  • Intermediate proficiency with Looker Studio or similar BI tools for developing and maintaining dashboards and reports
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy in all reporting and analysis tasks
  • Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, programming languages such as Go or Python to collaborate on system enhancements and automation
  • Demonstrated skills in data analysis, including interpreting business metrics and supporting decision-making across departments
  • Familiarity with systems integration and maintaining data flows between platforms such as ArcherTMS, BigQuery, and QuickBooks
  • Effective organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Experience utilizing project management or data input tools such as Trello and Smartsheet
  • Beginner familiarity with API tools and methods for testing APIs (e.g., Postman or Swagger) and monitoring connections for errors
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems) or equivalent work experience
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and dependability in handling confidential and sensitive information
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Office 365 or Google Workspace for cross-team collaboration and document management
  • Exposure to transportation management systems (e.g., ArcherTMS) or logistics software platforms
  • Basic understanding of accounting or finance processes within tools such as QuickBooks
  • Experience integrating external applications using workflow automation tools
  • Foundational knowledge of API development or scripting beyond testing and monitoring methods
  • Participation in entry-level data analytics or programming coursework, certifications, or workshops
  • Familiarity with industry-standard documentation or process improvement methodologies
