Full-Time Purchasing, Receiving, and Delivery Agent

Hiring Range: $20.07 – $24.58 per hour

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unpack, and distribute all inbound packages and deliveries. Provide receiving documentation to the Accounting Department.
  • Manage inventory and replenish all items stocked in the Purchasing Department, including office supplies and copy paper as needed.
  • Distribute and deliver stock items and copy paper throughout the main campus as needed.
  • Maintain timely and informative communication with other departments regarding the delivery of materials.
  • Assist in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials when needed.
  • Collect and deliver mail and/or packages to assigned locations on scheduled days and times as requested by the supervisor.
  • Process and safeguard all documents in mail containers by keeping them with you or locked in a safe place in your vehicle.
  • Operate a motorized vehicle safely, following all traffic signs and signals, and determine the best route when traffic or weather conditions are poor.
  • Report all vehicle issues and add fuel to the vehicle as needed.
  • Uphold and enhance the agency's image by projecting professional conduct and interacting with staff, suppliers, and visitors courteously.
  • Comply with internal policies and State and Federal requirements, ensuring that all products purchased meet UL ratings for fire and safety concerns and health issues.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE: Three years related experience.

This position requires driving in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and have reliable, insured transportation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED

  1. Ability to read and write. Microsoft Word and Excel literate, with strong organizational skills, time management and work independently.

ABILITIES:

  1. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a team member.

 

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc. and box cutters, hand trucks, push carts, pallet jack.

 

Work Environment: Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods.

 

Mental/Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers or handle, reach with hands and arms, ascend and descend stairs, talk or listen and lift up to 70 pounds.
