Job Status: Full Time                                                   FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt
Work Schedule: 1st Shift (Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd)   Travel Requirements: 0-25%
 
Job Summary:
The Employment Manager oversees the recruitment and employment procedures in JBS. The Employment Manager ensures that the company employment, labor relations, hiring policies and practices comply with Federal and State Labor Laws. Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring and or referring for hire, applicants for vacant positions for management and non-management.  Exceptional communication skills and strong commitment to fostering positive employee relations. Eager to contribute to the success of the Human Resources team and JBS Beardstown, IL. The individual must be dedicated, professional and a creative thinker. Must be results-driven. This individual will supervise one Employment Coordinator.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintain communication with department heads regarding hiring needs
  • Interview job applicants and check qualifications against job requirements
  • Conduct interviews for various Salary Management and Management Support openings as well as hourly openings
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts, both internally and externally, which includes posting vacancies, advertising and attending local and collegiate career fairs.
  • Create and keep hiring process updated
  • Enter new hires
  • Maintain applicant flow records
  • Comply with AAP reporting requirements
  • Ensure we comply with all Federal and State Labor Laws
  • Assist other departments within the Human Resources Department at JBS
  • Other duties as required

Education and Experience:
  • Associates/Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred but not required) or Equivalent Work Experience.
  • Must have Protein Manufacturing experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Climbing stairs.
  • Regular Visits to Production Floor: Hot, Cold, Smells, PPE Required
