Production Manager-Regional Beef
 
 
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Production Manager to join our Regional Beef team here in Greeley, CO! Our Production Manager will act as a consultant to Regional facilities, provides guidance in all aspects of the Distribution Centers and Carcass Grading and serve as a mentor/coach in developing and assisting new managers and supervisors.  
  
Responsibilities:
  • Acts as a consultant to Regional Distribution Center (DC)/Carcass Grading.
  • Provides support and guidance to facility based Distribution Center and Carcass Grading salaried team members.
  • Shares knowledge, and best practices related to continuous improvement, people safety, retention, and people development.
  • Monitoring and working with DC Managers to ensure processes are in place and being followed.
  • Continued communication with DC Managers assisting with communication up through Corp and Traffic.
  • Monitor the process set in place for carcass grading.
  • Daily tracking of grading.
  • Frequent communication with Grading Managers to ensure all processes are being followed.
  • Frequent visits to plants to follow up on DC operations and Grading.
  • Continued education of DC Managers and Grading Managers.  
  • Primarily works and consults in plant environment.
  • Typical work schedule consists of approximately 55-60 hours per/week.

Qualifications:  
  • Bachelors degree in Animal Science, Food Science or other related degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of expereince in a meatpacking facility and working with carcass grading
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Subject matter expert in facility operations.
  • Ability to coach and mentor managers, supervisors, and hourly team members.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Willing to travel 50% to various plants
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation 
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $130,000-$150,000; and
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
