Description

Responsibilities:

• Reports to Environmental Manager.
• Lead person for energy and water conservation programs.
• Implementation and management of Energy Management System ( EnMS).
• Supervision of environmental technician, cross-functional groups and facility sustainability programs.
• Ensure compliant operation of rendering and other facility air treatment systems.
• Environmental training responsibility for the facility.
• Storm Water Pollution Prevention Team Leader.
• Required facility environmental inspections.
• Waste Management – recycling, solid waste, biosolids, used oil, universal waste and hazardous waste.
• Operation of Powered Industrial Trucks ( forklift, pallet Jack, Loader, etc.) as needed. Company will train.
• Environmental reporting.
• Participation in company safety programs and expectations.
• Participation in company food safety programs and expectations.
• Availability after-hours and weekends: 24-hour/5-6 day operation.

Experience:

• Degree in Environmental Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Packed-Bed Scrubbers.
• Previous supervisory experience or program.
• State wastewater operator license(s) or ability to obtain license within 8 months of hiring.
