About the role
Search involves planning & flawlessly executing bought media plans, across Paid Search, as well as deploying unsurpassed platform knowledge and smart use of audience data, and developing industry-leading technology (secured through collaborative supplier partnerships) to facilitate 1:1 communication with our audience.
Some of the things we’d like you to do:
Campaign Management
- End-to-end delivery of highly effective Search campaigns for well-known brands, supported by a team of Search professionals to deliver and exceed performance targets
- Working with client and technical teams to define strategic Search roadmaps for individual accounts and oversee implementation/standardization of processes across the board (this may include automation and data analyses). You will play a key advisory role for both clients and prospects by proposing strategies, technologies, solutions with actionable recommendations
Media Skills
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional (client team, planning team, analytics team, etc.) teams, agreeing and coordinating deliverables and priorities with Search team members (also those embedded in client teams)
- Establish your position as Search thought leader, with demonstrable thought leadership in the activation space, including a deep awareness of Search and Biddable Display platforms and industry trends. Generating case studies and consolidating regional tests in relation to Search platforms for region level perspectives. Represent Essence to senior client stakeholders as well as Essence APAC in global forums
People Management
- Lead and inspire a dynamic, driven team, managing and developing their Search skills
Product Contribution (Google)
- Coordinate methodologies and collate product feedback on Google Ads platform dogfooding and beta testing initiatives for Google product team which would include working data strategy and audience segmentation work across performance and brand initiatives
- Generate POV on features/ methodologies (alongside global counterparts) that may impact the Google platform and Essence product moving forward. This may include technical and strategic recommendations
New Business
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement on the client account through media, marketing, creative, technological or process change
- Provide consultative input into new business pitches. Oversee media health checks across varying verticals.
A bit about yourself:
- An experienced and exceptionally talented individual, you will be passionate about digital media and have a desire to be at the cutting edge of online advertising.
- At least 14 years’ experience within a search-centric role with a track record of leadership and business growth
- Strong understanding of the search landscape, suppliers and technology, preferably specialist search agency experience
- Strong analytical skills. Able to analyze and draw conclusions from data and comfortable presenting quantitative information in a client context
- Demonstrate the ability to present your strategic recommendations to external and internal clients
- Eager to learn new concepts and challenge the existing business framework
- Highly developed interpersonal, team building and relationship management skills
