Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the end-to-end commercial strategy aligned with business growth, content pipeline, and long-term profitability.
- Establish commercial governance frameworks, approval matrices, and negotiation benchmarks across the organization.
- Lead commercial negotiations for feature films, OTT content, television, animation, VFX, and original productions.
- Structure and negotiate deals involving:
- Content acquisition and licensing
- Co-productions and revenue-share models
- Talent contracts (actors, directors, showrunners, key creatives)
- Backend participation, minimum guarantees, and milestone-based payouts
- Ensure contracts protect IP rights, distribution flexibility, and long-term monetization opportunities.
- Oversee centralized procurement across production, technology, facilities, post-production, and corporate functions.
- Drive cost optimization without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
- Negotiate high-value contracts with vendors, studios, technology partners, and service providers.
- Implement supplier performance management, contract compliance, and risk mitigation mechanisms.
- Lead negotiations with broadcasters, OTT platforms, distributors, advertisers, and strategic partners.
- Structure commercials, sponsorships, branded content, and long-term framework agreements.
- Support monetization strategies across multiple revenue streams, ensuring strong margins and scalable commercial models.
- Lead negotiations and commercial evaluation for studio spaces, offices, production floors, warehouses, and remote locations.
- Handle lease agreements, renewals, fit-out contracts, long-term rentals, and expansion decisions.
- Work closely with legal and finance teams to manage real estate risk, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure contracts are commercially sound, legally compliant, and financially viable.
- Assess commercial risks related to content investments, long-term commitments, and large capital expenditures.
- Drive accountability through commercial KPIs, dashboards, and post-deal performance reviews
expanded or modified at the discretion of the Senior Vice President, in line with organizational requirements.
