Position Overview
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Lead and inspire a large technology organization of professionals across multiple disciplines
- Serve as the primary point of contact and country-level leader for all India technology operations
- Build and maintain high-performing teams through effective people management and leadership
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence
- Develop and mentor senior managers and team leads across the organization
Operational Excellence
- Ensure business continuity and operational stability across all technology functions
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure "the show must go on" mentality
- Implement and maintain robust processes and workflows
- Monitor and optimize team productivity and delivery quality
- Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges before they impact business
Strategic Leadership
- Establish India operations as a cornerstone of our global technology strategy
- Establish and scale a world-class technology development center that delivers exceptional value and cost-effectiveness
- Build sustainable, high-quality development operations that integrate seamlessly with global teams
- Partner with global leadership team as the go-to person for all India-related technology matters
- Make data-driven decisions to optimize operations, cost efficiency, and resource allocation
- Translate global technology strategy into local execution plans while maximizing competitive advantages
- Create robust operational frameworks that ensure long-term success and scalability
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as primary liaison between India operations and global leadership
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between technology and business teams
- Represent the organization in external forums and industry events
- Maintain transparent and regular communication with all stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Leadership Experience
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology organizations
- Proven track record of managing large teams (300+ people preferred)
- Experience in scaling operations and managing rapid organizational growth
- Strong background in people management, team building, and talent development
Technical Understanding
- Solid understanding of technology fundamentals without requiring hands-on coding
- Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them for business stakeholders
- Experience with modern software development practices, methodologies, and tools
- Understanding of technology infrastructure, security, and operational requirements
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Exceptional English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong presentation and public speaking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build trust and rapport
- Natural consultation and advisory style that makes others seek your input
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in diverse environments
Business Acumen
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Experience with metrics-driven decision making and performance management
- Understanding of business operations and commercial drivers
