Vinyl is the number one stylized vinyl collectible on the market, selling millions of figures to fans around the world.
The Visual Merchandiser will provide 3D Visual Merchandising fixturing to support for our Creative department activities and sales decks. This position will support the CEO, VP, Director of Fun TV, Associate Director of Creative Development, and multiple Sales Managers with a variety of creative-related activities to assist in maintaining timelines.
Your Superpowers in Action
- Will create architectural/fixturing renderings, illustrations, and presentations of new merchandise concepts and present them to leaders across the organization for alignment.
- Generate sketches of visual displays that meet the visual design requirements
- Develop and implement concepts and creative ideas through a variety of visual formats.
- Finalizing designs and creating detailed floor plans for display areas.
- Change displays to promote new product launches
- Source for props, creative materials, and accessories for displays
Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry
- Bachelor’s or Applied Arts, Graphic Design, and/or Architecture Degree/s or related business experience in the field
- 2 years of experience in 3D Visual Design/Graphic Design / Architecture
- Ability to work cross-functionally to guide the creative process
- Strong creative vision, strategic thinking, organization, and relationship management skills
- Illustration skills both classic and digital
- Strong understanding of the Skilled in Sketch-up, Lumion, Enscape, Rhino, Blender, or any other 3d modeling/ rendering tools.
- Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Will need to have a deep interest and knowledge of the entertainment industry across a wide variety of movies, TV, comics, books, video games, sports and music licenses.
- An out-of-the-box thinker and designer of new concepts
- Ability to multitask with strong organizational skills and the capability of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong research and planning skills and the ability to apply these to ongoing Funko projects
- Strong people and communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization to drive towards results. Interactions include working with other departments at Funko to help ensure the efficiency and attention to detail needed to keep workflow moving smoothly.

Compensation & Benefits
Funko offers a competitive compensation package with full benefits and a 401(K) plan with matching contributions from the company. The starting base salary range for this position in the selected city is $27.69-$34.62. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role is eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives.

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
This position is based in San Diego, California. A hybrid model or remote position can potentially be accommodated only if you reside in an eligible state for Funko employment.
