Duties and Responsibilities-   

1. Data Modeling: Developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models to ensure data assets are organized effectively for storage, retrieval, and analysis.
2. Database Management: Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
3. Data Integration: Integrating data from various sources and formats to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability across systems.
4. Data Governance and Security: Establishing policies and procedures for data management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing security measures to protect sensitive data.
5. Data Analysis and Visualization: Collaborating with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions for data analysis and visualization.
6. Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Staying updated with emerging technologies and evaluating tools and platforms to enhance data management and analytics capabilities.
7. Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and business leaders, to understand requirements, align priorities, and communicate solutions effectively.
8. Strategic Planning: Participating in strategic planning activities, defining team objectives, and aligning them with the organization's overall data strategy and business objectives.  

Requirements and Qualifications :  

1. Overall 10+ experience with 5+ years of experience in data architecture, database design, data modeling, and data management.
2. Technical Skills:
   - Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing solutions.
   - Expertise in data modeling tools like ERwin, ER/Studio, or similar.
   - Strong understanding of data integration techniques and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
   - Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and related ecosystem tools. Databricks knowledge is a preferred.
   - Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for implementing scalable data solutions.
   - Knowledge of BI & analytics products such as PowerBI, Tableau Qlik, etc.
   - Demonstrated experience in deploying and managing data infrastructure on cloud platforms
   - Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data architecture such as Python, Java, or Scala.
3. Proven track record of successfully leading data migration projects, including assessing existing data systems, designing migration strategies, and executing migrations with minimal disruption to business operations
4. Understanding of data governance principles and best practices in cloud environments, including data privacy, security, and compliance requirements
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
6. Strong problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges and optimize data workflows.
7. Capability to lead and mentor junior data professionals, as well as provide guidance on data architecture best practices.
8. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
9. Industry or domain knowledge with understanding of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards related to data privacy, security, and governance
10. Commitment to staying updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data architecture and management through continuous learning and professional development activities
11. Proficiency in documenting data architecture designs, migration plans, and post-migration configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and facilitate ongoing support and maintenance of cloud-based data solutions
