Calibration Tech 3-Night Shift

This position is in a fast-paced FDA regulated manufacturing environment in the Medical Devices Industry.
This role will perform calibrations as needed. This role requires interdepartmental collaboration to ensure timely and effective calibration execution without impact to the Production schedule. Follow HSE guidelines to ensure employee safety. 

Primary Duties:

1.       Use the CCMS (BM RAM) paperless calibration program to record calibration data.    
2.       Submit Asset Change Request (AFC) to improve the overall use of the CCMS and the information provided in asset records.    
3.       Maintains the monthly calibration schedule.    
4.       Schedule Contractor/Vendor visits.    
5.       Review upcoming work to inform Asset Owners of instruments in their possession with upcoming calibrations.    
6.      Troubleshoot calibration failures and make recommendations for any instrumentation improvements.    
7.       Contribute at the project team level for calibration activities and participate in instrument and calibration specification development.     
8.       Provide input and participate in team meetings Develop and provide technical job aids and training presentations for calibration related activities.    
9.       Train other Calibration Technicians in all aspects of the bioMerieux Calibration Program    
10.     Maintain compliance in HSE procedures.    
11.     Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.    
12.     Performs other duties as assigned.    
13.    Maintains compliance in SOP and other training provided.

Education, skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 3 years of calibration-specific experience in a regulated industry required
  • Thorough knowledge of industry standards with regard to calibration in a regulated environment preferred
  • Experience with CCMS’ (Blue Mountain RAM) preferred
  • Technical learning aptitude to quickly understand and acquire new technical knowledge and skills.
  • Flexibility, being highly adaptable and resilient to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • Detail orientation to complete tasks without errors and produce high-quality work.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment by managing tasks, multitasking, and adapting quickly to maintain productivity.
  • Informing others by sharing clear, timely information to ensure alignment.
  • Troubleshooting issues to identify and resolve problems efficiently

Working conditions and physical requirements:

  • Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
  • Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
  • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
  • Ability to climb stairs to perform work on the mezzanine.
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts on assigned schedule.
  • Ability to work overtime (including weekend / holiday work) as required
