Position Summary
Local Specific Summary: VITEK Reveal Systems Engineer – the primary responsibilities for this position will include performing root cause investigations of potential product design failures, performing system verification activities including the creation of plans, protocols, test cases, test case execution, and summary reporting, and acting as a product subject matter expert assisting with the maintenance of requirements, performing system impact assessments of proposed changes, assessing design with reliability consulting, contributing to product risk analysis, contributing to the transfer of product knowledge to other departments as needed, providing input to customer facing service documentation, along with additional system engineering tasks.
Primary Duties:
System Verification test execution in compliance with bioMerieux procedures
Create System Verification Plans, Protocols, Test Cases, Test Runs, and summarize the testing results including a trace matrix in compliance with bioMerieux procedures
Perform root cause complaint investigations
Assist with feasibility and reliability testing
Transfer product knowledge as needed
Contribute to product risk evaluations as needed
Perform/Support impact assessments for proposed design changes as needed
Provide input to customer facing and service documentation as needed
Review/approve customer facing and/or service documentation as needed
Lead anomaly assessments as needed
Lead and analyze and change request prioritization evaluations as needed
Lead anomaly assessments as needed
Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education, Training and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required in Biomedical or engineering field
- 2 years of designing/testing complex mechanical systems
Preferred Education, Training and Experience:
Medical device experience preferred
