Job Summary:

This position reports to the Sales Manager and plays a critical role in the support and growth of our various trades businesses. Excellent problem-solving abilities and superior communication skills are key attributes. The successful candidate exhibits an ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional “customer first” attitude. Key elements of the role are responding to and delivering customer quotations, and completing maintenance contract renewals in a timely manner. Relief support to customer care / dispatch personnel may also be required from time to time.


Key Responsibilities

  • Reacts in a timely fashion to requests for quotations from customers, service technicians and management. Prepares customer quotations, obtains management approval, and communicates same to customer.  Resolve internal and external customer issues involving pricing, work performance, and customer payment.
  • Reviews service inspection reports and service call work orders to identify any additional work to be included in a job which may lead to additional quote preparation.
  • Follows up on proposals with the customer on a timely basis to secure orders. For secured work, coordinates labour resource scheduling with the Team Lead as required.
  • Attend customer sites on an as-needed basis to maintain and develop strong customer relations, and as directed by the Team Lead.
  • Procures necessary materials equipment to complete quoted work and provides required documentation for procurement processes.
  • Coordination of service requests from customers including the assignment of appropriate technical staff, coordinating with subcontractors and third parties, and coordinating site materials and tools as required.
  • Enter all quotations into designated Ainsworth systems as necessary, keeping it updated and current.
  • Prompts, drives, supports and participates in the completion of Maintenance Service Contract renewals.
  • Acts as the customer's advocate in interactions to ensure the customer obtains the best value from proposed service offerings.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.



  • 5 years relevant experience in a related environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of service management systems.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external individuals.
  • Proven systematic and organized approach to multi-tasking.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Working knowledge of the English language both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize a heavy workload.
  • Professional, friendly, exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Provides service to both internal and external customers.
