Job Summary:
This position is required to closely interact with the Project Managers and Project Leads to provide technical assistance during the construction and commissioning process. Also, will be expected to communicate and work through issues and punch lists with the on-site contractors and trades.


Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively with other team members concerning problems, obstacles, issues, and information needs.
  • Attend job site project meetings when necessary.
  • Documenting work and procedures.
  • Reading and understanding mechanical plans, wiring diagrams, and program code.
  • Familiarity and understanding of BMS, HVAC and Building Operating controls, systems and operations.
  • Low voltage electrical experience (installation and troubleshooting).
  • Installation, troubleshooting, and testing & commissioning of BMS & HVAC systems and electronics.
  • Ability to work with and install building controls and programs.
  • Properly addressing TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications.
  • Analyzing and correcting communication issues.
  • Work according to project timelines and required processes.
  • Perform duties in a safe efficient manner. Observe safety rules when lifting or using tools to perform the essential job functions.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and industry standard testing equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred understanding or comprehension of the complete project life cycle for a Building Control System and integration to other building management systems. Must be comfortable with computers and have a strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) with a strong technical ability. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position. Have the ability to apply common sense understanding and troubleshooting to carry out detailed verbal or written instructions. 
  • Appetite for challenge and ability to absorb technical training.
  • 1 - 2 years preferred but not required.
  • Associates or technical diploma a plus but not required.
