About the Role
At Ziff Davis Shopping, we’re redefining the shopping experience, making savings seamless and rewarding through our browser extensions and mobile apps. Our installables are key to creating a frictionless shopping journey, ensuring users effortlessly access the best deals, cashback, and rewards while they browse and shop.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Director to lead the development and growth of our browser extension and mobile app products. Reporting to the GVP of Product and Engineering, you will drive strategic vision, execution, and innovation for these critical platforms, managing a team of product managers to enhance user experience, engagement, and business impact. This role will be instrumental in using our installables to drive our new Loyalty Program and overseeing the complete revamp of our mobile application. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our Loyalty Platform team to ensure backend capabilities support new user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and own the product strategy for Ziff Davis Shopping’s browser extension and mobile app, aligning with company goals and customer needs.
  • Develop and manage a multi-year roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that enhance usability, engagement, and monetization.
  • Lead a team of product managers, fostering a high-performing, data-driven, and customer-focused culture.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to align product initiatives with business objectives and revenue growth strategies.

Customer-Centric Innovation

  • Leverage user research, analytics, and experimentation to deeply understand user behavior, friction points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive innovation in automated savings, real-time deal discovery, and seamless checkout experiences within installables.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to increase retention, engagement, and daily active users through personalization and gamification.
  • Lead the integration of loyalty program features into our installables, ensuring seamless and rewarding user experiences.

Execution & Delivery

  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring timely execution from ideation to launch and iterative improvements.
  • Implement rapid testing methodologies, including A/B testing, MVP launches, and user feedback loops to validate new features.
  • Partner with engineering, UX/UI, marketing, and data teams to deliver high-quality, scalable products that meet business objectives.
  • Proactively manage risks, trade-offs, and dependencies to ensure smooth product development and delivery.
  • Oversee the complete revamp of our mobile application, ensuring it aligns with evolving customer needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with the Loyalty Platform team to ensure backend development supports new loyalty-driven user experiences and capabilities.

Performance & Growth

  • Establish and track key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure success, including activation, retention, and revenue impact.
  • Drive a test-and-learn culture, leveraging experimentation to continuously refine the user experience and optimize conversion funnels.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to ensure our installables remain best-in-class.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role managing product teams.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling consumer-facing installable products (browser extensions and/or mobile apps).
  • Strong background in e-commerce, fintech, loyalty, or rewards-based products preferred.
  • Experience leading major product revamps and launching loyalty-driven experiences.

Strategic & Analytical Thinking

  • Ability to synthesize data, customer insights, and market trends into actionable product strategies.
  • Strong analytical mindset, using data to drive decisions, validate hypotheses, and optimize performance.

Innovation & Experimentation

  • Experience driving a culture of rapid experimentation, A/B testing, and iterative improvements.
  • Strong understanding of growth strategies, retention mechanics, and engagement-driving features.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Experienced people leader with a passion for developing and mentoring product managers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across engineering, design, marketing, and executive teams.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with backend teams to align infrastructure development with product innovation.

Technical Acumen

  • Understanding of modern software development practices, including APIs, SDKs, agile methodologies, and data platforms.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions.
