We're Ookla, the company behind Speedtest, Downdetector, Ekahau, RootMetrics, and an ever-expanding suite of connectivity solutions. Our team is a group of people brought together through passion and inspired by possibility. At Ookla, we provide comprehensive network intelligence and connectivity insights that help optimize networks, enhance digital experiences, and drive better connectivity outcomes. We're seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist to lead our social media presence across our family of brands.
You might be perfect for this role if you:
  • Are equally comfortable crafting a fun tweet about internet speeds as you are positioning an in-depth article about network intelligence trends on LinkedIn
  • Thrive on staying ahead of social media trends while maintaining the credibility and authority of industry-leading tech
  • Can thoughtfully balance between showcasing highly technical information and getting to the kernel of what people actually care about
  • Have a track record of turning strategic thinking into concrete, measurable results through social campaigns
  • Are excited to ideate, film, and be featured in shortform TikTok-style social media videos
  • Can pack a powerful message into 280 characters
The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver who combines strong social media instincts with analytical thinking, works well both independently and collaboratively, and brings a genuine enthusiasm for translating complex technical concepts into engaging content.
We are committed to providing you with a flexible work environment where individuality, fun, and talent are all valued equally. If you consider yourself innovative, adept at collaboration, and you care deeply about the work you do, let’s chat!
