ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team and manage the day-to-day payroll operations for Ookla’s employees globally. The Payroll Coordinator will collaborate with and assist the payroll manager in maintaining a seamless payroll function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and manage the payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations for each region in which Ookla operates.
- Collaborate with HR to update payroll information related to new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes.
- Prepare and submit reports related to payroll, taxes, deductions, and other financial obligations.
- Assist in resolving payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll information.
- Manage and reconcile payroll-related accounts, ensuring accurate postings to financial systems.
- Coordinate with external payroll providers as necessary for specific regions and countries.
- Stay informed about changes in payroll-related legislation and compliance requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in payroll coordination, payroll processing, or a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and tax regulations internationally.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience working with global payroll platforms and HR software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with international payroll laws and regulations is a plus.
