Position Description:
WebMD Health Services is looking for a Configuration Specialist who will work collaboratively with internal team members from the Client Delivery Organization and other WHS stakeholders to implement complex solutions for clients using a mix of applications, tools, and interfaces.
The Configuration Specialist must develop an in-depth knowledge of WHS product functionality, have a solid grasp of the technical aspects of the applications, and possess an in-depth understanding of the health and wellness domain as it applies to the implementation of WHS solutions. This key role will work with the team to:
- Successfully complete program configuration based on functional specifications and in accordance with scope and project plan timelines
- Utilize critical thinking skills to question elements of specifications that may be documented incorrect (e.g. correcting spelling errors when configuring against a specification)
- Analyze and triage functional issues identified during configuration
- Support configuration changes that result from Client Acceptance Testing
- Complete program peer reviews, reporting identified issues or discrepancies
- Participate in the research and correction of issues as they arise
- Provide feedback on documentation and specifications to help improve the configuration process
- Complete additional administrative tasks as they arise

qualifications, skills and experience:
- 1 – 2 years of experience interpreting functional and/or technical requirements for software implementations
- Demonstrated ability to successfully implement complex and technical solutions in a technology-intensive, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
- Exhibit confidence and a knowledge of industry practices when solving business problems
- Highly organized individual with successful multi-tasking skills
- Independent time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders
