The Role

We are looking for a Security Officer/Front Desk Reception to be responsible for protecting personnel, company property, safety and maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality. This role will also include overseeing all front desk reception tasks during normal business hours.

What You Will Do
  • Maintain situational awareness regarding individuals, packages, assets, events, body language, and behaviors with a security mindset.
  • Observe and report suspicious or unusual activity or circumstances and informs the supervisor.
  • Excellent customer service skills to interact effectively with a diverse group of people, stay calm under pressure, and provide cheerful assistance to others.
  • Report maintenance and safety issues to the appropriate staff members.
  • Receive packages and process correspondence to ensure delivered package (s).
  • Maintain a daily log of requests and ensure all needed forms are properly maintained/stored.
  • Allows access to clients, vendors, visitors, and contractors in accordance with access control policies. Activate/Deactivate employee badges as needed.
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols.
  • Provides safety escorts for clients, vendors, visitors, contractors, and guests when required.
  • Spot check security compliance during client moves, maintenance, or events.
  • Prepare and complete incident reports and correlating documentation.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Enforce policies/procedures related to facilities and safety.
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols.

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. test certificate required
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Experience in the military, criminal justice, or law enforcement is an asset
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or sit for long periods
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
