ProbablyMonsters is looking for a versatile and experienced Senior Advanced Environment Artist who is passionate about bringing exceptional entertainment to players around the globe. At Hidden Grove, we appreciate the value of partnering with other disciplines to create something special, and you will work closely with a multidisciplinary group to create and implement environment art and world building for a highly stylized new IP in pre-production.

WHO YOU ARE:       
  • You are an independent, motivated, and self-aware artist who is excited to breathe life into a beautiful and stylized world.
  • Your work demonstrates your ability to design and create high quality, exciting environments with an expert understanding of visual design principles.
  • You have a strong understanding of how form, color and texture affect the overall results of the worlds you build.
  • You are comfortable driving assets from start to finish while collaborating closely with multi-discipline partners.
  • You provide feedback to your team to improve tools and workflows. 
WHAT YOU WILL DO:       
  • Create high-quality environment assets from rough block out to polished, in-game assets.
  • Meet with the Environment Lead and Art Director to discuss the team’s work and support them in upholding the visual and experiential pillars of the game.
  • Collaborate with Designers, Concept Artists, and Tech Artists to bring visually memorable, great-playing worlds to life.
  • Collaborate to establish workflows and best practices for the environment art discipline.
  • Provide feedback on workflows and best practices for the environment art discipline.
  • Participate in our teamwide playtests to evaluate how your assets are playing and to give and receive notes on the experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:       
  • A portfolio that displays an expert understanding of visual design principles, mid-poly modeling & trim based workflows, modular, and sculpted organic assets.
  • A proficiency in relevant software packages such as Blender, Substance Suite, Photoshop & ZBrush.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Shipped at least 1 game as an environment artist.
  • At least 6+ years of environment art experience.

Eligibility to participate in these benefits may vary for part-time and temporary full-time employees and interns with the Company.       
        
Compensation:       
  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position. 
  • The full salary range for this position is $136,900 - $205,300 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, internal equity, and what you're looking for.  
  • In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as a sign-on bonus and short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
