Job Description Summary
As a Recovery Support Specialist provides support, hope, and motivation to adult members during their recovery process. You will assist them with accessing clinical care, engaging in their own service plans, navigating the intake process, and providing crisis planning when necessary. By using your own experience in behavioral health, you will help clients to identify their own strengths, support their achievements, and engage them more fully in their treatment and recovery. You will serve as an advocate, role model, skill trainer, and mentor, offering groups and non-clinical interventions. This position will work individually or as part of a team, in the client’s home, office, or community settings.

What we’re looking for:
- One (1) of the following:
- High School diploma or GED
- College-level coursework and/or Associates’ degree- an emphasis on Human Services, or Psychology preferred
- Peer Support or RSS Training certificate of completion from AHCCCS approved curriculum
- Experience in behavioral health as one of the following:
- A recipient of services
- A family member of someone receiving services, or a primary caregiver of a service recipient
- In recovery from mental illness and/or substance use addiction, has been trained to help others in recovery path, and be willing to self-identify as a person in recovery for the benefit of others.
- Must be eligible for fingerprint clearance approval without restrictions (and maintain during employment)
- Valid Arizona driver’s license (without restrictions), current auto insurance, and current CPR/First Aid (or able to obtain)
