 Role Description 

The Credentialing Technical Analyst will be responsible for management of our credentialing database, quality assurance and data analysis. This role will handle all data requests and will provide reports to assist in programmatic decisions.  The Credentialing Technical Analyst will also assist in the ongoing maintenance and implementation of new features within our credentialing software. The role will also include supporting the verification processes with government agencies and insurance payers. You will provide formal detailed documentation of our physicians professional histories and thoroughly track the credentialing process to ensure follow-through from start to finish.  

Core Responsibilities 

  • Advance and continuously improve our automation ability in existing systems to enable greater team efficiency, compliance, and output 

  • Document and train credentialing team members to understand new releases in the credentialing software, workflows and tools necessary to perform their job 

  • Oversee accuracy of data entered into communication tools (e.g., CredentialStream / Verity, Internal tracker) 

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets 

  • Prepare and disseminate analysis reports and presentations to various audiences both internal and external 

  • Collaborate with internal staff for all evaluation and analysis activities 

  • Assist in developing actionable metrics to quantify the impact of programming  

  • Assist in creating uniform business rules that will be used in all ad-hoc analyses 

  • Escalate concerns or missed deadlines to management for further review 

  • Coordinate with team members to ensure timely submission of provider termination information to payers and data integrity of the Credentialing database 

  • Propose process improvement and/or workflow change suggestions to management 

  • Document and train credentialing team members to understand new releases in the credentialing software, workflows and tools necessary to perform their job 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 What are we looking for? 

  • A bachelor's degree or minimum of 5 years of credentialing work experience 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PowerPivot, functions, VBA) 

  • Data management experience; knowledgeable in database rules, writing queries, and relational database creation and management (create, query, relate) 

  • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving 

  • Professional communication skills with both staff and executive levels 

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills 

  • Sense of urgency 

  • Flexible and positive attitude 

  • High level of integrity 

  • Experience with CredentialStream/Verity a plus 

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) a plus 

  • U.S. work authorization
