Summary:

Reporting to the VP Development, the Director Development for Nuvance Health will lead the Foundation's gifts team of development professionals dedicated to raising philanthropic support for hospital and health system priorities. Responsible for making significant advances to a well-defined and successful principal and major gifts program in order to expand fundraising capacity and elevate the program to the next level. The Director will develop talent and programs within a donor-centric model guided by data and analytics to achieve record levels of gifts to support Nuvance Health's Mission.

Responsibilities:

1. Plans and executes a successful comprehensive fundraising program to secure a rising level of philanthropic support for the Network's strategic priorities encompassing all of its hospitals. Together with the CDO and VP, collaborate with Nuvance Health senior leaders and department chairs to identify funding priorities, execute a strategic plan and help drive planning for future comprehensive capital campaigns in support of the Network's hospitals.

2. Manages and leads an integrated fundraising team responsible for annual, major and principal gifts.

3. Manages and solicits a portfolio of 50+ major and principal gifts prospects including board members and other high net worth individuals capable of seven and eight-figure gifts.

4. Builds upon existing service line model for philanthropy. Manages Foundation staff assignments in order to continuously build and enhance relationships with physician leaders, and work closely with service line leaders to identify future funding needs.

5. Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer and clinical chairs, build and integrate HIPAA compliant best practices for donor-centric grateful patient fundraising to increase the funding capacity of this important constituency throughout the network with the help and support of the medical staff.

6. Serves as the primary liaison to one or more important clinical areas.

7. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

8. Models and maintains Nuvance Health values.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience: seven years or more
