Summary:

Provides leadership and guidance on all contracting and sourcing strategies for Nuvance Health. Along with the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO), the Director will be the lead negotiator for pricing and terms on all contractible products and services for the system. This position is responsible to ensure that all contract and are within the legal terms as outline by the Legal team. This position works with other members of Supply Chain leadership to source vendors, manufacturers and distributors for approved products and services.

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Leads contract negotiation.
  2. Develops and validates contract terms within Legal specifications.
  3. Managers contract life cycle.
  4. Provides cost savings, tracking, and validation.
  5. Manages product, services, vendor, manufacturing and distributor sourcing.
  6. Manages GPO resources/staff.
  7. Acts as representative on local purchasing collaborative.
  8. Provides PHAN and ESG reporting and validation.
  9. Maintains and Models Nuvance Health Values.
  10. Performs other duties as required.

Education Skills Experience:

 

  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a lead, healthcare purchasing and/or contracting role managing $100 million spend or larger.
  • Bachelors degree in business or related field.
  • JD preferred.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

 

  • Healthcare expertise.
  • Strategic/analytical capability.
  • MMIS usage and report creation.
  • Prior legal experience with terms and conditions.
