Full-Time Infectious Disease Physician Opportunity in Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)
Norwalk Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease Physician to join our team in Norwalk, Connecticut, located about 50 miles outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County. Candidate should be board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified/eligible in Infectious Disease and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team. There will be some teaching responsibility to residents and medical students. This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice.
Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. Norwalk Hospital houses Internal Medicine and Radiology residencies, and Pulmonary, Sleep, and Gastroenterology fellowships. As a teaching hospital, we are a branch campus of the University of Vermont College of Medicine. We are also affiliated with the Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine through our teaching programs. Our employed Medical Practice includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
Norwalk Hospital is ideally situated in Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk is rich in cultural diversity and offers many venues for 4 season outdoor and indoor recreational activities. Salary:
$240,000 - $340,000, commensurate or relative to experience.
