About the Team
The Manager, Resident Consultant role will be part of the Professional Services Delivery team based in Pune. This team is dedicated to helping customers successfully adopt, deploy, optimize, and operate Nutanix solutions across enterprise environments. The mission of the team is to ensure exceptional customer outcomes while continuously improving delivery capabilities through both consulting-led transformation engagements and operational managed services.
You will report to the Director, Professional Services, who fosters a collaborative and empowering leadership style, focusing on team development and encouraging a culture of accountability and innovation. This role is hybrid, with the expectation that the hire will work in the office a few days a week while also having the flexibility to work remotely.
The role does not require extensive travel, as it primarily involves managing delivery operations and customer engagements from the Pune location. However, occasional travel to customer sites may be necessary.
Your Role
- Lead and manage a team of 10–12 Professional Services Consultants for Day 1 consulting and Day 2 operational services.
- Ensure successful execution of all customer projects, including platform deployments, migrations, and operational support.
- Drive delivery quality and customer satisfaction, acting as the escalation point for complex delivery situations.
- Oversee operational service delivery, implementing continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and career development discussions for team members.
- Build trusted relationships with enterprise customers and conduct delivery governance reviews to ensure success.
- Develop and implement resource planning and capacity management strategies to balance customer demand with team capabilities.
- Identify and drive opportunities for operational excellence through automation and reusable delivery assets.
What You Will Bring
- 10–15 years of experience in Enterprise Infrastructure, Virtualization, Hybrid Cloud, or Cloud-Native Platforms.
- 4–6 years of experience in people management, leading consulting or technical delivery teams.
- Proven track record managing enterprise customer engagements from planning through successful delivery.
- Strong leadership skills in delivery operations, including resource planning and project management.
- Technical proficiency in Nutanix Cloud Platform, VMware technologies, and automation tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Effective communication skills for building relationships with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with consulting methodologies, reference architectures, and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives in service delivery.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
