About the Team
The Staff Consulting Architect will join the Professional Services team at Nutanix, a dynamic group dedicated to delivering innovative cloud-native solutions that empower organizations to modernize their IT infrastructure. Located in Pune and Bangalore, this team thrives on collaboration and a culture of continuous learning, driving excellence in architecting and deploying Kubernetes platforms. The mission of the Professional Services team is to ensure successful customer adoption of Nutanix technologies and to enable operational transformation through expert guidance and consulting practices.
You will report to the Director of Professional Services, who values open communication and fosters an inclusive environment where team members are encouraged to share ideas and take ownership of their projects. The team operates in a hybrid work setup, allowing flexibility, with a minimum requirement of attending the office a few days a week to facilitate collaboration and engagement with peers.
This role does not have a required travel component, allowing for a focus on local engagements and project deliverables without the need for frequent travel away from the home office.
Your Role
  • Architect and design NKP-based Kubernetes platforms to meet enterprise requirements across various infrastructures.
  • Deploy, operate, and manage NKP clusters, ensuring compliance with best practices in security and provisioning.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate deployment processes.
  • Define and enforce security policies within Kubernetes and virtualization layers to ensure data safety and compliance.
  • Lead architecture and design workshops to guide customers through platform adoption and application modernization.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to the development of internal best practices and reference architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer engagement and drive platform innovation.
  • Establish measurable first-year objectives focused on successful project deliverables, customer satisfaction, and team development.
What You Will Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, and platform engineering.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes architecture and operations.
  • Proficient in virtualization platforms, specifically Nutanix AHV and VMware vSphere.
  • Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, and security architectures.
  • Excellent consulting and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Nutanix certifications) are preferred.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
