About the office

The Prospective Students Office (PSO) is responsible for driving the University’s objectives in relation to recruiting prospective students across all programs and supports the successful transition of strategy into operational plans across the entire student recruitment journey.

About the role

The Student Recruitment Coordinator supports domestic undergraduate and postgraduate enrolments by engaging prospective students, schools, RTOs, and other partners. The role includes providing study and application guidance, building stakeholder relationships, coordinating outreach and recruitment events, managing the Student Ambassador Program, and assisting with team onboarding. Collaborating with internal teams, the Coordinator ensures recruitment strategies are aligned and activities comply with University policies, brand standards, and privacy requirements, helping drive Notre Dame’s student growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive domestic undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment in line with University policies.
  • Build and manage relationships with schools, career advisers, and RTOs to maximize student engagement.
  • Develop and deliver targeted engagement initiatives and events, including presentations, campus tours, and communications campaigns.
  • Support Student Ambassadors and expand recruitment channels, including pathway partnerships.
  • Use data to inform recruitment strategies and enhance enquiry management processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive recruitment strategies and student support.
  • Maintain knowledge of University programs, admissions, and policies.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Completion of a degree with subsequent relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Proven success in student recruitment and conversion, with strong knowledge of the full enrolment cycle.
  • Previous experience managing events or projects which demonstrate strong organisational planning and evaluation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of CRM principles and demonstrated experience in using CRM systems and/or databases.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills with a demonstrated ability to produce accurate and informative reports from multiple data sources.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to deliver results and take initiative.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
