The Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels by use of narrow-web flexographic press, while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions. Additionally, the Press Operator meets safety, housekeeping, quality, waste, and productivity standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follow all OSHA, FSSC, GMP, and company safety standards.
- Change material, plates, dies, substrates, anilox rollers, cylinders, or ink as required.
- Inspect print quality for proper ink coverage and density, alignment, registration, tension, and die cut per customer job ticket requirements.
- Perform basic maintenance using hand tools as needed.
- Annotate material quantities used, quality discrepancies, downtime, make-ready time, and run time in DCU.
- Clean press machine components as needed.
- Maintain clean workspace according to housekeeping standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement events as needed.
- Train new teammates as needed, upon being fully qualified.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 2+ years flexographic printing press operator experience, with intermediate knowledge of dies, anilox, plates, and cylinders.
- Preference: Narrow-web, specifically Mark Andy 2200, P5, or P7 Series.
- Skills: Quality control analysis, operations monitoring, active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, time management, and troubleshooting.
- Abilities: Near vision, control precision, visual color discrimination, selective attention, written comprehension, finger dexterity, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to work occasional overtime/Saturdays once fully trained.
Other considerations:
· While this role is for a Press Operator, if someone has the right experience operating intermediate to advanced machinery and has a track record of sustained superior performance, there may be an opportunity for hire.
