As member of the Finance Team supporting the plants achievement of financial objectives and corporate financial objectives. 
 
Responsibilities: 
 
1. Financial: Assist the FC in managing the plant internal and external financial reporting and assure compliance with internal controls and policies. Assist in the creation and achievement of the approved budget of the plant. 
2.   Analysis: Partner with the Plant Management Team to assure achievement of the overall plant objectives, including analyzing data to deadlines and supporting the FC as required. 
3.   Cost Accounting, Inventory and Assets: To get involved with the Management of systems for current, accurate and complete accounting and reporting of job costs, overhead, inventory, controls and policies, and physical counts. 
4.   Forecasting: Provide input on the forecasting process 
5.   Help in preparing accrual and prepayment journals for month end accounts. 
6.   Involved in the analysis and review of expense accounts during the month end process 
7.   Customers: Support a service oriented and business partner approach within the accounting organization. 
8.   Continuous Improvement: Support a culture of continuous improvement. 
9.   Safety: Assure the safety of associates within the Plant Accounting function. 
10. Culture: Model the Corporate Values and Principles, including instilling a high performance, people-powered culture, providing high expectations and high support. 
 
Skills:
 
  • Literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Articulate, clear, and persuasive in the spoken and written word.
  • Rational, logical, fact-driven decision making
  • Perform college level mathematical calculations.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
Qualifications: 
 
  • Qualified Accountant or studying towards accountancy qualification
