We are seeking to appoint a Regional HR Director to take responsibility for, and lead a team, managing the day-to-day HR tactical operations and strategy implementation for the manufacturing sites in our Africa region, encompassing 5 sites, across South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania.

 

The Role

 

In this exciting and varied role, you will add value by:

  • Being a trusted partner to the regional leadership team, establishing the regional strategy on both HR and non-HR aspects.
  • Leading, engaging, motivating and developing a team of regional HR professionals, maintaining credibility and trust as an effective and responsive function.
  • Being a change leader and working with key stakeholders to deploy change initiatives within the region.
  • Guiding the key stakeholders in respect of HR best practices when developing action plans, programs and initiatives.
  • Being a leader of continuous improvement and HR digitization, who challenges the status quo to implement the HR strategic agenda.
  • Developing, implementing and integrating HR policies and compliance activities to ensure consistency across the region.
  • Championing the desired workplace culture – collaborating with others to ensure stakeholders are acting as role models in relation our corporate values and behaviors. Leading the ESG and D&I agenda in the region

 

The Person

 

To succeed in this role you will:

  • have experience gained within an FMCG environment (or similar fast-paced industry)
  • Possess demonstrable experience in a similar HR leadership role
  • Have experience of leading an internationally-based remote team within a multi-site organization
  • Have managed complex change projects, including restructures and policy implementation
  • Be adept at building strong and trusting relationships
  • Be able to utilise coaching and development skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess effective project management skills

Additional Information

 

This role is based in South Africa and you must already have the legal right to live and work there.  You must also have the ability to undertake unrestricted travel within the wider region.  Visa sponsorship is not provided.
