What we offer

As Manager, Planning & Execution, you will play a key role in driving production planning, scheduling, and operational execution for SAMI’s panel and modular manufacturing operations.  You will lead production scheduling, sequencing, and coordination to ensure we know what we’re building, when we’re building it, and that materials, labour, and equipment are aligned to execute the production plan. This role will be responsible for translating orderbook demand into clear, executable factory schedules, ensuring alignment across operations, materials, inventory, labour, and production timelines. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in production scheduling, MES/ERP-enabled workflows, material planning, and manufacturing operations execution in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

What you’ll do

  • Lead production scheduling, sequencing, and capacity planning across panel and modular manufacturing lines
  • Translate orderbook demand and production targets into clear, executable daily and weekly production schedules, including labour, material, equipment, and staging requirements
  • Drive MES utilization, accuracy and continuous improvement to support scheduling, production tracking, and reporting
  • Partner closely with operations, procurement, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure plans are practical, executable and aligned to shop floor conditions
  • Ensure materials, components, and inventory are available and staged to meet production schedules
  • Monitor production capacity, resource utilization, constraints, and bottlenecks to optimize flow
  • Proactively identify and resolve material shortages, capacity constraints, and scheduling risks
  • Track and report key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, throughput, first-pass quality, rework, downtime, material shortages, and labour efficiency
  • Support operational excellence, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure strong data integrity and alignment across MES, ERP, inventory, and production planning systems
  • Support integration and alignment of MES with ERP, inventory, and production scheduling systems to enable end-to-end visibility
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you bring

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing Technology, Building Science, Architectural Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated understanding of plant scheduling, capacity planning, production sequencing, and constraint management
  • Experience working with ERP, MES, scheduling, production tracking, or digital manufacturing systems
  • Strong experience managing material flow, inventory, and production coordination
  • Solid understanding of automated manufacturing processes, material flow, production line balancing, and equipment utilization
  • Proven track record of process optimization, continuous improvement, and cross-functional problem solving
  • Strong ability to partner across operations, procurement, inventory, and logistics teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment and drive practical solutions

Bonus Points

  • Experience in panelized or modular construction, prefabrication, highly automated manufacturing environments, or robotics-enabled production systems.
  • Experience supporting plant start-up, equipment commissioning, production ramp-up, or new product introduction
  • Strong experience with MES/ERP systems, production scheduling tools, and digital manufacturing environments
  • Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, P. Eng., or related technical/manufacturing designations
