About You and this Role

You love sales and working the full lifecycle of a deal from prospecting to closing. You love mapping out strategic accounts and finding opportunities to sell within them. You’re not afraid to be persistent and handle objections from potential customers. You will be responsible for driving revenue for accounts in specific verticals. We are looking for an Account Executive in Germany. The management of the DACH region is located in Eschborn near Frankfurt am Main.

 

Key Objectives

  • Proactive development of new business relationships on the German market
  • Expansion and maintenance of existing accounts through active relationship management
  • Determination of decision makers and value-adding presentation of our solution
    • Identification and clarification of customer requirements and concerns
    • Coordination between different parties like customer, partner (does the implementation) and Liferay’s departments (Pre-,Post-Sales and Support)
    • You know how to identify customer pain points, speak business value vs. technical value, and how to sell enterprise software solutions
    • Maintain account plans and forecasts on a regular basis
  • Independent management of demanding customer requirements
  • Answer RFI’s and prepare quotations
  • Give presentations in front of customers and larger audiences

Required qualifications

  • Completed vocational training and/or university degree
  • At least 6/8 years of sales experience in the field of Enterprise Software
  • Methodical approach to incoming and outgoing customer telephone calls
  • (over-)achievement of previous sales targets
  • Experience with Open Source, Portal/Web/Collaboration, Salesforce are plus points
  • Careful handling of the CRM system
  • Personal persuasive power, especially in critical customer situations
  • Experience in working with partners
  • Strong communication and moderation skills
  • Strong business, sales and number orientation
  • Ability to work in a team and enjoy dealing with customers and colleagues
  • High willingness to travel for business trips throughout Germany
  • Business fluent knowledge of German and English language
