Project Manager Lead – Customer Success, LHH CTM & LD

As the Project Manager Lead at our company, you will be responsible for overseeing the project management function across the entire cluster. You will lead a team of project managers, ensuring they deliver high-quality services and meet all client and business objectives. This senior role requires a strategic mindset, with the ability to guide and mentor your team, while also driving the successful execution of multiple projects across various industries. Your leadership will be key in upholding the company’s reputation for excellence and contributing to the success of our customer-centric initiatives.

 

Reporting Relationships:

  • Cluster Head of Customer Success

Direct Reports:

  • Project Managers across the cluster

Travel:

  • Up to 15% including trips outside of Germany

Location:

  • Hybrid work model
  • Residence in Germany

Languages:

  • Fluency in English
  • Ideally fluency in local language

In this role you can expect to

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers across the cluster, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality projects.
  • Oversee the performance of project managers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure professional growth and successful project outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative environment among project managers to share best practices and drive continuous improvement in project execution.

Strategic Project Oversight:

  • Work closely with the Head of Customer Success and other senior stakeholders to align project management strategies with overall business goals.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, adhering to all contractual commitments and quality standards.
  • Monitor and manage project portfolios across the cluster, ensuring consistency in delivery, and addressing any risks or issues proactively.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Support project managers in building and maintaining strong client relationships across the cluster, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with key clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, provide strategic input, and ensure that project outcomes meet or exceed expectations.

Account Management and Implementation:

  • Oversee the management of customer accounts across the cluster, ensuring deliverables are consistently met to a high standard.
  • Coordinate complex project implementations and ensure that project managers have the resources and support needed to meet contractual KPIs.

Reporting, Documentation, and Financial Management:

  • Ensure that project managers are consistently maintaining accurate records, including regular updates in systems like Salesforce.
  • Oversee the preparation of analytical reports for quarterly and annual reviews, ensuring all financial tracking and MI reporting are accurate and aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure the profitability of projects by closely monitoring budgets and implementing cost control measures where necessary.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Facilitate strong communication channels between project managers, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on project status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Regularly update the Head of Customer Success and other senior leaders on project performance, highlighting key achievements and addressing any areas of concern.

Problem Solving and Process Improvement:

  • Act as a point of escalation for complex issues, helping project managers to resolve challenges efficiently.
  • Lead efforts to identify opportunities for process improvements across the cluster, driving initiatives that enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.

 

All About You

Proven Leadership Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience leading project management teams, with a track record of successfully delivering projects within industries such as HR-Services, Education, Coaching & Consulting, Professional Services and related.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve excellence.

Strategic Project Management:

  • Deep expertise in project management methodologies, with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Familiarity with project management software and CRM platforms like Salesforce.

Stakeholder and Client Management:

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a strong focus on client and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement:

  • A proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset, focused on optimizing processes and driving efficiency in project delivery.
