Environmental Specialist
Description
Purpose & Scope: Assist in all aspects of crop/livestock farming. Assist in land and water resource management. Maintenance and care of farm equipment, irrigation and other and other fixed assists. To assist the EF Group with the optimal application of effluent.
Principle Responsibilities: Functions may include but are not limited to:
- Routine inspection of water lines, effluent lagoon integrity
- Operate irrigation equipment
- General farm labor and maintenance
Travel Required: Minimal, as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to perform physical labor
- Basic plumbing skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work under time constraints
- Ability to work 50 hours a week or more as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with heavy equipment operation
- Previous experience in maintenance
- Previous farming and irrigation experience
Relationships/Contacts:
- Interact with fellow EF employees to perform daily tasks
- Communicate and coordinate with the EF Manager and other managers as needed
- Interact with other teams such as Feed mill, Maintenance, farm employees and management to accomplish goals
