Freight Payment Specialist
 
We are looking for a Freight Payment Specialist for Pilgrim’s that will report to the Corporate Office in Greeley, Colorado.
 
Responsibilities:
·         Act as a liaison between carriers, accounts payable, and sales with billing discrepancies on shipments for Pilgrim’s.
·         Act as a liaison between accounts payable and accountants with billing issues on shipments for Pilgrim’s.
·         Pre-process aged freight accrual data monthly
·         Provide monthly support on clearing aged freight accruals
·         Provide accurate information in the format specified by supervisor.
·         Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
·         Knowledge of the transportation industry preferred
·         Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
·         Excellent communication skills required
·         General understanding of US geography
·         Excellent follow through skills required
·         Strong attention to detail required
·         Ability to multi-task required
·         Curiosity to learn and grow
·         Basic accounting skills
 
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
·         Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
·         Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
·         401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
·         Base salary: $19-$20/hr
·         Incentive Pay: This position is eligible for a retention bonus;

This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the role.
