JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Position Title: Assets Business Analyst

Department:Operations

Location: Greeley, CO

Reports to: Transportation Operations Manager

 

Position Summary

The Assets Business Analyst supports the Operations team by managing asset reporting, trailer tracking, and equipment lifecycle processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across departments to ensure accurate data and efficient asset utilization.

Truck Reporting & Data Management

  • Update all cost centers in the TMS database
  • Upload weekly reports to SharePoint, including unit, fleet, driver, company, division, and cost center data
  • Review and distribute weekly SharePoint reports to the executive team

Trailer Tracking & GPS Oversight

  • Manage administrative functions in trailer GPS systems
  • Generate and distribute detailed weekly inactive trailer reports to upper management
  • Monitor trailer inactivity, investigate red flags, and coordinate with planners and terminal managers to verify trailer locations

New Units & Equipment Trades

  • Track vendor updates for new truck and trailer builds and estimated arrival times
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for plates, decals, and add-on equipment
  • Update TMW status when trade equipment is dropped off and placed out-of-service

Asset Compliance – Titles, Permits, and Registrations

  • Own the annual cycles for permitting and registering JBS Carriers trucks and trailers
  • Work with operations and JBS Carriers shops to order replacement trucks and trailer plates as needed
  • Quickly title and process tractor plates for new equipment coming online
  • Process clean titles for when trailer or other assets are bought out

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support Operations with various tasks as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in the transportation industry preferred
  • Strong computer skills, with a focus on Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening, planning, and organizational abilities

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; Base salary range of $57,784 - $60,000; and
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
