Production Supervisor

In this entry-level day shift leadership role, you will support daily production operations across multiple departments within our Cold Spring, MN facility. Working closely with department leaders and team members, you will help coordinate workflow, monitor production activities, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are maintained. This hands-on position provides valuable experience in food production leadership while developing your supervisory and problem-solving skills. You will spend much of your time on the production floor, assisting with team support, addressing operational challenges, and helping ensure work is completed efficiently and safely. Success in this role requires strong communication, adaptability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Hands-on supervisor training to prepare for placement in a department-specific supervisor role
• Experience various disciplines and areas of interest, while also exploring the foundations of the business at the plant level
• Provide training and create a positive work environment to help employees reach their highest potential in quality and productivity.
• Organize manpower, materials, equipment, and production schedules to ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee employee performance and offer constructive feedback, both positive and corrective.
• Encourage open communication and employee involvement to build team morale and support company values.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for quality improvement, cost savings, and process enhancements.
• Ensure safety standards are followed and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Plant Operations Team
• Attend several leadership and process training sessions to develop your leadership skills as well as your people and process management skills. This includes a week-long trip to the Corporate HQ in Greeley, CO
What You’ll Need
• Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
• Experience: previous leadership experience in a supporting role is preferred; having this experience in the poultry or food industry is a plus.
• Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision making, must have basic computer knowledge, ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Travel: Limited travel, with overnight stays of 1-4 days required.
