Procurement Career Development Program

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: JBS is seeking candidates for a part-time Procurement Analyst role at our Corporate Office in Greeley, CO. The intent of this position is to provide a year-round, entry-level position to currently enrolled college students on our Corporate Procurement Team. This is an exciting, year-round opportunity for candidates who excel in a busy, achievement-oriented environment and obtain relevant work experience that can lead to long-term placement with JBS. School credit may be available.

Responsibilities:

• Support category manager(s) in tracking cost saving results, supplier audits, performance analysis, and business unit reporting.
• Work cross functionally with plant buyers, procurement analysts and internal business stakeholders to develop business requirements for sourcing events
• Participation in process improvement discussions and meetings
• Support supplier relationships and communication to build strategic partnerships; evaluate and measure supplier performance to ensure performance expectations are met
• Continuously drive improvement in the Supply Chain process by defining strategies and translating them into actionable objectives.
• Facilitate and author business review presentation materials
• Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

• Preferred availability is 4 hours per day, a total of 20 hours per week. Hours must be scheduled Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, year-round.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP experience is a plus
• Actively pursuing an Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain  or Business degree preferred.
• Self-motivated
• Maintain a high level of accuracy
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to successfully work under strict deadlines

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• Base salary range of $20-$25/hour; and

This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the role.
