REPORTS TO: Slaughter General Foreman
JOB SUMMARY
Manage the Slaughter Department staff and activities, including the daily production for the kill floor, offal, variety by products, and feet areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expertise in the kill floor, offal, variety by products, and feet areas as well as government statutes, laws and regulations and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Manage daily production in kill floor, offal, variety by products, and feet areas
- Measure and report daily yields and downtime
- Responsible for associates discipline and turnover
- Ability to communicate with USDA inspectors
- Monitor and implement the department goals
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 + years supervisory experience on all areas of the kill floor, offal, and variety products.
- Ability to work in a hot environment
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): eligible after 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
- Base salary range of $67,200 - $82,688
- This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
