Sanitation Operation Superintendent
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated individual to join our organization as a Sanitation Operation Superintendent. As the Sanitation Operation Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the sanitation operations at our facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations, implementing efficient sanitation practices, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sanitation management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of industry best practices. Superintendents work closely with the Assistant Site Manager and Site Manager in achieving objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Sanitation Operations Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sanitation protocols, procedures, and guidelines to maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
- Oversee and manage daily sanitation activities, including cleaning, disinfection, waste management, and pest control, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess sanitation conditions, identify areas for improvement, and take necessary corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production and quality assurance, to develop and implement effective sanitation schedules that minimize disruptions to operations.
- Maintain an inventory of sanitation supplies, equipment, and chemicals, ensuring their availability and proper storage.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the sanitation staff, including training, performance evaluation, and coaching, to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to sanitation protocols.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up to date with local, state, and federal sanitation regulations and guidelines, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation and records related to sanitation operations, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, training records, and regulatory compliance documents.
- Coordinate and assist in facilitating inspections and audits by regulatory agencies, addressing any findings or recommendations in a timely manner.
- Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure sanitation processes meet established standards and comply with quality assurance requirements.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any sanitation-related issues that may impact product quality and safety.
- Continuously evaluate sanitation operations and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sanitation management, and recommend relevant improvements or upgrades.
- Health and Safety:
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with the health and safety team to identify and address any sanitation-related hazards or risks.
- Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses related to sanitation operations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional relevant education or certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in sanitation management, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations, including those specific to the industry.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with sanitation management software and MS Office applications.
- Certifications in sanitation management or related fields are highly desirable.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base annual salary range of 70k-80k
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
