Job Summary:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the efficiently sorting, washing, drying, hanging and maintaining all laundry items in the Beardstown, IL facility. Along with this the Laundry Attendant will also ensure proper handling of linens and garments by following established cleaning procedure while upholding cleanliness and organization within the laundry area; this role involves operating commercial washing and drying equipment, inspecting items and adhering to safety protocols.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for washing/drying/hanging laundry bags
• Flexibility to cover additional shifts and hours if needed to cover vacations etc.
• Responsible for maintaining the laundry area/storeroom in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition
• Responsible for assisting employees with laundry needs, for example replacing worn laundry bags, finding their hook etc.
• Data/order entry with accuracy
• Provide backup for Store/Knife Room Attendant
• undergo training to pump laundry chemicals as needed.
• Perform various duties as assigned.
• Working Conditions:
• Production and maintenance settings
• Exposure to various chemicals, machinery and knives likely
• Slippery floors, extreme temperature and loud noises
• Other duties as needed or required

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Salary Range

• $27,048-$30,429/year
