We are looking for a Laboratoy Technician for the Principe Columbia site that:
JOB SUMMARY
Under direct supervision and under established laboratory procedures, the technician would be responsible for conducting microbiological and chemical testing of food product. In addition, they will assist with various company wide projects related food safety and quality.
Salary range: $45,000 - $53,000
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply aseptic technician in all aspect of work
Conduct microbiological and chemical testing of food product
Inventory and report status of consumables (e.g. supplies)
Conduct routine preventive maintenance and sanitize laboratory equipment
Critically analyze data and enter in LIMS database
Maintain agents and media as need for daily testing
Assist with investigational studies
Follow all laboratory safety guidelines
Share information & collaborate co-workers in an open and timely manner
Conduct equipment calibration activities
Lead by example to ensure the actions of other services employees support our goals for quality, quantity, and safety.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
HS Diploma or equivalent, college degree in microbiology preferred. Relevant work experience and proven skills will be considered in lieu of education.
Ability to work-in a fast paced environment both individually and as a team
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as business demands
Excellent written and verbal communicatrtion skills required
Basic computer skills required, including Outlook and Excel
Demostrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Basic understanding of Quality Control Laboratory equipment & methodologies

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Laboratory environment; sterlie environment. Potentially working with hazardous materials. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
