Position Title: Feed Mill Coordinator
Department: Administration
Location: Main Office
Salary Class: SNE
Title of Supervisor: Fee Mill Manager/Services Manager
Purpose & Scope
Perform detailed clerical work involved with grain procurement, Service Teams administrative support, and serve as back up for weekly payroll responsibilities as needed.
Principal Responsibilities Functions may include but are not limited to:
- Receives and monitors incoming grain, following protocol
- Balances shipments, production, incoming loads and Drug Trax daily
- Prepares shipping samples for testing by lab, following schedule
- Completes weekly global posting procedures on time and with accuracy, researching discrepancies as the need arises
- Maintains grain samples for 90 days in neat and orderly manner
- Follows security and safety guidelines
- Tests equipment and grain samples weekly or daily according to schedule and keeps organized records of test results
- Places orders for special ingredients when directed by Mill Manager
- Monitors, maintains and tidies scale room equipment, following recertification requirements
- Controls and orders supplies as needed for scale room area.
- Assists contractors in meeting ISN safety qualifications
- Prints feed orders several times daily and alerts feed mill employees
- Maintains accurate records of employees who wear UniFirst uniforms
- Monitors Tri-State Recycle dumpster requests and audits monthly invoices
- Coordinates monthly and annual safety and food safety trainings as required for feed department personnel
Service Team duties:
- Assist Maintenance, Farm Services, and Automotive shop managers with various administrative duties to include but not limited:
- Administer work order tracking and submission
- Filing
- Track projects and processes
- Assist with employee safety training
- Other duties as assigned
- Back-up for payroll and other departments as requested
Travel: Little to none required
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work 7:30-4:30 Monday-Friday
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
- Superb customer service skills
- Detailed Oriented
- Self-motivated and self-starter
- Organized and efficient
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 year associate degree or more
- Previous grain handling experience
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish
Relationships/Contacts:
- Communicates with drivers to provide hospitality and unloading instructions
- Interacts with employees across the farm at various levels
- Communicates with suppliers when placing orders
- Assists contractors with safety compliance
