Position Description:

Reporting to the Vice President Value Based Growth, the (Analyst) is responsible for designing and performing population, utilization, financial, quality, and cost of care analysis.  Analyses will support outcomes and value quantification of existing programs, development of new value based services, and other organizational initiatives as appropriate.  The analyst will utilize publicly available data sources and conduct literature reviews to establish performance comparisons and benchmarks as well as conduct research on new government and commercial payor healthcare reimbursement programs.  This position is part of a dynamic team with opportunities to collaborate across functional areas of the organization and meaningfully contribute to a wide range of innovation and growth activities. 

Candidate Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree in related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Completed coursework in statistics or demonstrated working knowledge of statistical presentation/interpretation of data required
  • 1 year of work experience in healthcare research, economics, analytics, or population health/value-based care
  • 1 year of work experience with or providing service to a healthcare provider group or healthcare system/facility preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, SUBTOTALS, etc.) required
  • On the job or academic project experience working with large data repositories and/or relational databases required
  • Working knowledge of healthcare industry code systems (ICD, CPT, NDC, etc.) and clinical data concepts required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and other Office software required
  • 1 year of work experience creating dashboards in Tableau required
  • 1 year of work experience writing queries in SQL required
  • Proficiency creating reports in SSRS preferred
  • Working knowledge of CMS value-based reimbursement programs and care management services (ACO, TCM/BHI, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to work independently, highly driven, self-starter
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to complete analyses with available data
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analysis quality/accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain incoming data transformation and performance measurement for existing value-based initiatives including preparation of tailored presentation materials for various stakeholder forums.
  • Propose, create, and produce recurring performance metrics and reporting for existing and newly developed value-based services.
  • Participate in development of financial models and impact analyses, quantitative and qualitative, to support new partner and service expansion opportunities.
  • Participate in and conduct research on government and other payor healthcare reimbursement updates and produce impact assessments for existing programs or service opportunities.
  • Deliver results to end-users by creating dashboards using Tableau or creating reports using SSRS
  • As directed, act as a liaison with our joint venture partners to complete analyses in support of mutual programs and initiatives.
